Panera Bread Colombian Coffee Review

[spoiler title=’Click here to read the transcript. ‘ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]- Hey, welcome to Coffee Coffee Coffee. Your place for average Joe coffee reviews. Today’s coffee says it ha a wine-like finish. I don’t feel drunk.

– So, today we are reviewing Panera Bread’s Columbia expertly roasted ground coffee.

– Ah, experts. That’s what we’ve been looking for.

– Right. So it’s 100% arabica coffee. It says Columbia which makes me assume that it is all from Columbia. It doesn’t really necessarily say that it is but it does say that it’s supposed to be floral, nutty, balanced, and have a wine-like finish.

– Yeah.

– Which we don’t really understand.

– Right.

– I mean…

– It doesn’t taste like any wine that I’ve ever had.

– No.

– And some wine is really hard to drink and some wine is really smooth.

– Right.

– One question I do have is that it says expertly roasted. If it doesn’t say expertly roasted on the other Panera bags what does that say about the roasters who are doing the other coffee?

– Right.

– Like, eh, you guys aren’t experts. The Columbia guys are experts. You’re just novices. But we let you roast coffee.

– Right. So, one thing it did say on the bag is that Panera works with the farmers for sustainable methods of farming and everything. It doesn’t have any certifications but nice to know that they care about that.

– And say it on their bag.

– Right.

– We could ask the farmers but they don’t identify where the farmers are specifically.

– Right. So… The actual coffee, what do you think?

– I think it’s easy to drink.

– It is, I would agree with that. Very easy to drink.

– There’s no like, I don’t want to drink that flavors or anything like that. But it’s not real potent.

– Right, it’s kind of weak. I wouldn’t say weak but just kind of like because it’s balanced. I think maybe that’s the thing. There’s no one flavor that’s coming through so it’s got a little nuttiness.

– Right, I think a little bit.

– But, yet I want more.

– Mm hmn. Talk to your experts.

– Yeah, I like it strong.

– Tell them to roast it a little stronger. It is a medium roast but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t have…

– Something that grabs you. But I think it’s probably a crowd pleaser. It’s not one that people go, oh, I hate this. I think most people would like, huh, yeah, it’s pretty good.

– Yeah, and some people if you just show them the bag they’ll be like, ooh, I love Panera. Even if they have no idea what the coffee’s like. Those are called fan boys or fan girls. Panera fan, I don’t know if there are any Panera fan, well, I’m sure there are.

– I don’t know. I think there are some people that really love Panera. I’ve never eaten–

– I’ve really gotta get a bland sandwich. I don’t know.

– Have you ever tried their sandwiches?

– At meetings.

– Oh okay, well that’s different.

– Then I was just happy to be eating.

– I’ve never tried one so.

– But so we bought our coffee at Publix and it was on sale for 6.99. I think the original price was $9. It’s a lot more expensive on Amazon so don’t get it there. Even though we have a link.

– We will put a link in the description.

– If you actually have to have it. Actulutely. I think I tried to say actually and absolutely in the same word. But if you actulutely have to have it then you can get it on Amazon.

– Maybe this does have wine in it.

– Yeah. Anyway, I think we’d give it a three out of five donut rating.

– Yeah, I mean, the price is like ooh but I think three because it’s pretty easy to drink. Overall, it’s not offensive at all.

– All right, well, you all out there watching. If you’ve had some Panera coffee before, this roast or another one, let us know about it in the comments below and if we haven’t reviewed it yet, we’ll try to find it and give a review out there sometime.

– Yes indeed.

– Well, until next time.

– Keep grinding.
