hey welcome to Coffee Coffee Coffee your place for average Joe coffee reviews today we are on location in South America no we’re not we’re in Northeast Georgia we escaped the Florida peninsula peninsula for now to see family up in North Georgia so where we will experience tornadoes from hurricane-force winds so you know either way we traded some good for some good yeah but we are still going to review a coffee for you today and what is it this is Lake 503 coffee and it is from El Salvador right and it’s a Bourbon bean right so and that’s different this is different than what we’ve had before Arabica beans that we have otherwise oops I took a sip she did a faux pas a faux pas well it’s been a long time our drive here was 14 hours which is twice as long as it should take but yeah coffee so tell us a little bit about the coffee we’ll taste it and get on with our review right so this is strictly high grown which we learned about in the last video it is grown it like 4900 feet altitude right and let’s see what else is the name of it I’ve got a little note here the La Esperanza farm is where it’s grown and we got a video that we will link to and it actually shows the actual farm that this coffee came from which is really cool sixth generation sixth generation coffee growers yeah that was really neat and the region that this is from in El Salvador is Apaneca which I probably butchered the name the pronunciation of that I do that with words so but yeah I think that covers the various the did you say rainforest certified I forgot to say that it is rainforest certified and again Lake 503 Coffee which is owned by Rebecca and Bryan Pleitez it’s right well ready to taste again yes yeah we’ve had it already yeah yeah yeah can I just say the smell of this coffee is so good it’s just so good it’s good coffee it is really good coffee it’s definitely different than the other roast right this is a darker roast right right and so I like do you prefer one over the other I prefer a darker roast and this is my this is my preferred one I like this one better than the other one we tried yeah yeah they’re both very good but this one’s the favorite it’s definitely got a more of a richer flavor I think kind of a toasty warm wonderful cup of goodness also I just want to point out it’s kind of windy we’re out on the porch so if you hear any wind we apologize blame Irma that’s what we’ve done for everything hashtag blameirma yeah so it’s very good coffee I like it it’s the same price as the others twelve dollars for twelve ounces so that’s about sixteen dollars a pound so again really cool to see that like actually meet the actual roaster and then to see the actual video of the actual farmers growing this coffee not not many coffees can you do it with yeah really cool experience yeah we highly recommend them and you can find them on their website which we will link to or you can find them on Facebook that’s right and you can also find us on Facebook and Instagram and YouTube Coffee Coffee Coffee and on our website at coffeecoffeecoffeeshow.com so you can go there and check out the review table that we have it says coffee table and see all the reviews that we’ve done and we kind of chart them whether or not we would buy them again how much they cost per pound how we bought it that kind of stuff but yeah so and we would definitely buy this one again yeah if we didn’t say that explicitly right so until then grind it don’t say that
hey welcome to coffee coffee coffee this is your place for average Joe coffee reviews and today we have a little addition to our set here this is the map and we are located here no you pointed to the Bahamas I wish we were in the Bahamas right now actually I don’t there’s a hurricane there that would be horrible we are here just north of Orlando Florida yeah which we are waiting for hurricane Irma to see if she’s gonna come this way but that’s enough talk about hurricanes right the only thing we might want to talk about is a hurricane of flavor was that present with this coffee tell us a little bit about the coffee so we were talking about Lake County Florida and that’s where our coffee is actually from well not the beans the beans are from Costa Rica from the Tarrazu region and this is lake 503 coffee and you actually went to school right with the the wife the owner’s names are Bryan and Rebekah Pleitez I just I wanted to pronounce it correctly and so we had heard that they had a coffee company and we were a little bit nervous because they’re like you know we wanted to try it but we thought oh but what if it’s no good and then we you know review it so but so let’s see a little bit more about the coffee it is classified as strictly high grown shg so if you ever see that that’s what that stands for it’s grown it like 5,500 feet of altitude over a mile high yeah I wonder what the cutoff is if it’s a mile and above that is strictly high ground I don’t know we should look that up before we record next time yeah you look it up that’s what Google’s for so um let’s see other things cost $12 for 12 ounces yeah so the most expensive coffee so far reviewed so far yes so um anything else to say it before we try it I’m ready to try that try it let’s tell you what you should think about it that’s not true we just tell you what we think about it love the coffee yeah it’s a very good cup of coffee it is it’s very good from the top to the bottom and it smells really good and actually I just picked up a little bit of cocoa okay I think I have tha yeah yeah like like I’m not a semi-sweet a little less sweet than that but more of a cocoa flavor I don’t know if it’s supposed to be there or not or if I’m just craving cocoa and tasting in my mouth yeah and I think I’ve picked up at over drinking you know a few cups a little bit of citrusy I mean it’s not overpowering and then maybe a little bit of an earthiness yeah yeah it’s really good though yeah whatever it is from the start to the finish it’s a really good cup of coffee like some you know cups you might start out it’s kind of yeah that’s not so good and then at the end it’s like that is better and then sometimes they start out really good and by the end you know it is not that great this is really good the whole way down yeah I like that a lot mm-hmm yeah so would we buy it again yes again yeah and if you’d like to buy it go on Facebook and look up lake 503 coffee that’s all the numbers not written out but right numerals right and you’ll find them that way and you can order straight from there and they also do farmers market for you local people like starting October they’ll be well I mean if you’re watching this at a different time of the year you know you’ll just basically need to visit their Facebook page right and find out where they are because sometimes they’re at the local farmers markets but they do ship right anything else to add on I don’t I think it was just really neat to see and actually meet the roaster like he brought it to our home that was only because he was out he doesn’t normally drive it all the way to your house but it was neat to shake his hand and get to talk to the actual person who roasted it compared that to like getting something in the grocery store and you know you don’t know the story and the of the person who made it it was just neat yeah I agree so if you have any other coffees that you’d like for us to try reach out to u here I won’t ask you to send them to us for free well I might but you can find us on Facebook Instagram YouTube under coffee coffee coffee and also on our website at coffee coffee coffee show dot com where you can find a coffee table that has information about all the reviews we’ve done whether or not we would buy it how much it cost per pound flavors all that good stuff so if you have any questions about that or whatever let us know until then keep grindin we’ll find a good tagline sometimes working on it
Read More »Lake 503 Costa Rican Tarrazu Coffee Review
