[spoiler title=’Click here to read the transcript. ‘ style=’default’ collapse_link=’true’]- Hey, welcome to Coffee, Coffee, Coffee, your place for Average Joe coffee reviews. Today’s coffee says, “If you’re feeling bold, the answer is dark gold.”

– Today we’re reviewing Gevalia Kaffe’s Dark Gold Roast. I don’t know where dark gold comes from, it’s kind of a mystery to me.

– Texas tea.

– Oh. Dark gold?

– No.

– No, black gold. Anyway.

– I got her.

– Full bodied, rich and velvety, bold.

– Like Elvis.

– What?Rich and velvety?

– Full-bodied, rich, and velvety.

– Right. That’s true. So, it’s supposed to be bold. It’s rich, smokey, and velvety. That’s what you get, according to there. So, let’s talk about price, I guess?

– It was a 12 ounce bag for 8 dollars and 39 cents originally, but we got it on sale, buy one get one free at a store called Publix.

– Love the Publix.

– So, 8.39 is on the higher end of store bought coffee prices.

– Mhm, yeah, yeah. But, when it’s bogo.

– Yeah, it’s not so bad.

– It’s gogo.

– Yeah, yeah. They’re buy one get ones are really good.

– Yeah.

– Good prices, so.

– I definitely get bold, and I definitely get smokey.

– Yeah.

– You get anything else besides bold and smokey?

– Roasty.

– Roasty? Yeah, a little roasty. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

– I don’t taste any Memphis barbecue though.

– What?

– Elvis.

– Oh, and smokey? Or no, just Elvis?

– Rich, and velvety.

– And full-bodied.

– And full-bodied. Elvis.

– But–

– Who, by the way, lives in Tavares, Florida, and frequents the Winn-Dixie.

– Yeah. So, the question is, what would we rate it?

– It doesn’t have a big, like… Here’s my flavor.

– Right, it’s bold, but it kinda misses for me, just a little bit. It’s good, it’s like a three.

– Yeah, I think so.

– It’s good.

– Three out of five?

– Yeah, it’s, yeah. Yeah.

– It’s kinda there. Above the middle of the road, but–

– Yeah, I’m not upset that we spent that money on it.

– No, if the price were lower though, it may be a little bit higher, but, I think probably the… The power of it is just not, it’s missing a little bit.

– Yeah, it is good, but it’s not my favorite.

– Maybe if we put more grounds per cup it would’ve–

– Maybe, but they say to only use a tablespoon.

– That’s right.

– Did you not use a tablespoon?

– I used a tablespoon.

– Well then, there you go.

– That’s true. Well, if you ventured off to the Dark Gold coast of dark coffees… Where Elvis lives in a cave, has grown a mustache, and you’ve had this coffee and you’ve really enjoyed it, or you didn’t like it, or you thought it was mediocre, or whatever, let us know in the comments below, and we’ll discuss it with you like gentleman and gentleladies.
